The Chicagoland Green Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) is growing greener business in the Chicagoland region by connecting existing green business leaders with businesses, public agencies, and chambers of commerce seeking to make their operations more sustainable. CGCC promotes closing the loop for the circular economy.
Businesses’ products and services offer all customers - commercial, public, and residential - the opportunity to change their behaviors and reduce emissions and waste. CGCC maintains a list of vendors utilizing certified products and knowledgeable contractors to install products correctly. CGCC shares sustainable practices for specific industries, such as restaurants. CGCC provides resource guides to support public agencies - local governments, schools, parks, and library districts - in addition to businesses and residents.
CGCC welcomes nonprofit environmental advocacy organizations to join us for education and networking opportunities. We welcome residents to search our member directory green products and contractors.
CGCC’s programs consist of events (training and networking); business-to-business products and services promotion; newsletters with member spotlights; resources for best practices and industry specific guidance; sustainable business certification connections; and a green business recognition program.
